Committee for Early Childhood Development Head Start is looking for an Administrative Assistant with the following qualifications: 


*Must possess a BA degree with two (2) years experience as an Administrative Assistant or Executive Secretary; or an AA degree in Business Administration or related field, with five(5) years experience as an Administrative Assistant or Executive Secretary.

*Must have excellent writing, reading and oral skills. Must be able to type 50 wpm and have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of shorthand a plus.

 

*Must be trustworthy and able to follow the program’s confidentiality policy.


*Must be a self-starter and be capable of multi-tasking.

*Must be flexible with work hours in order to meet a multitude of deadlines.

*Must be a U.S. citizen or have a Green Card, and must successfully pass the NYC Department of Investigation and State Central Registry screenings. The cost of the fingerprints ($130.00) and the SCR ($25.00) are the responsibility of the applicant.

*Knowledge of Head Start Federal & State Regulations is a plus.

Compensation: $35,758 a year, with benefits.
